Did you know that in the 22/23 academic year St Andrews students and staff travelled to 124 destinations across the globe? From Funafuti to the Western Antarctic Peninsula, our academic community are fulfilling the University’s world-leading ambition to undertake critical research, build partnerships, and enhance our academic reputation worldwide.

Completing a travel submission via the Travel Registration and Fieldwork Tool  is required for all staff and students travelling on University related business that involves an overnight stay and/or flight.  It is a dynamic tool that surfaces activity and location risk assessments as needed.  It provides clarity regarding travel insurance cover, replaces the necessity for manual risk assessments and offers a high level of support for incident management. The Global Office also annually reviews the travel data to build a better picture of the University’s global reach.

Travel tool training sessions are available on request. Coming soon we will be offering online drop-in training sessions with a focus on location and activity risk assessments.  Please contact  [email protected] for further information.
